Oh Lord, please pick me up when I fall. Please guide me, and teach me, and show me your wisdom. Help me not to do things I might one day regret, or to act on impulse rather than thinking things through. Thank you for not letting me fall even when I lose sight of you.
Thank you for always being my help and protection.
Please draw me back to you that I might glorify your name.
So it looks like I’ll be heading down to my new location today sometime. It’s good - because hopefully I will have more to keep me busy down there. I’ve had stuff to do up here too, but much of that has been with pushing to get me set up down there. It’s bad - because I’m comfortable where I am right now.
I guess the office space is available now, and a computer is / will be set up soon. I’ll probably head down after lunch, just to give them enough time to make sure things are all set up.
It’s crazy. I’m moving five minutes down the road and it feels like so much more than that.
Friday Night: Stayed home, watched the game, went to bed. A nice, relaxing Friday night.
Saturday: Got up bright and early and went to Men’s Breakfast. A good meal and a good reminder that God sustains us in _all_ things. After that I worked at the chapel all day planting trees, bushes, and flowers, installing a sprinkler system, and having a great time with a great group of people. So let’s see. I was at the chapel from 8 AM until around 7 PM. Makes for a long day.
After all that work I figured I would sleep well, but of course I didn’t. Don’t know what’s wrong with me these days - too much on my mind I guess.
Sunday: Church, reading, the game, supper and games at Morelli’s, and then bed. Oh yeah, I also cleaned my car out a bit - still needs to be vacuumed.
A busy, fun weekend that went by _way_ too quickly. As weekends generally do.
I’m not sure what the final score was, but it was somewhere in the area of 22-5.
We couldn’t field the ball for our lives, and our hitting matched our fielding in that it was almost non-existent.
It was, however, a good time. After sitting at a computer all day even taking a beating on a softball field can be fun.
And not only that, but today is FRIDAY!!!! Yeah, buddy.
Softball game tonight. Last game we won 17-5 or something like that. Hopefully tonight will be another win.
Speaking of winning, the Red Sox are starting to test their luck. Two nights in a row now they’ve won with walk-off home runs after going to the bottom of the ninth down a run. I mean, a win is a win, but no need to take it to the last hit all the time!!!
Oh, and speaking of the Red Sox, I went to one of their games the other day. Actually, it was Mother’s Day. The game was supposed to be the night before but it was postponed until Sunday. There were four of us, and we had seats about 20 rows up behind home plate. It was awesome - I’ve never been that close. The Red Sox won 6-3, and I think that might be the first game I’ve gone to where they actually won. I remember a long time ago they went on a 9-game winning streak. We went to the 10th one, and they lost. Right after losing they went on a 10-game winning streak. Then last year I went to a game and they lost in the 10th inning. So… apparently breaking the curse of the Bambino broke the curse of losewhenadamisthere. Yeah.
Ok, back to work.
My blogging and my email sending tends to go quiet when I’m busy, and right now I’m busy.
I’m on a new contract now at work, and it’s been keeping my nice and busy.
And I’m also playing softball now for Anteon, so that’s cool.
A group of us went to see Shane & Shane on Friday night, and it was incredible. I’ve been looking forward to that concert for the past couple of months now.
Afterwards, Dan and Abby were heading out so I got a ride with them instead of the people I had gone up with. I think most of the other people ended up hanging out afterwards. Kinda wish I had stayed and hung out. Guess there’s always next time.
Time just keeps going by.
Went to a kegger tonight. It was fun, as usual.
Just got home; now it’s 3 AM and church is in the mornin’.
