Jude 1:24-25

A disappointing evening ensued

as the Redsox faced the Yankees for Game 1 in the ALCS. Something must have happened to Schilling, because he cracked. The pressure was just too much I guess. It was his worst *ever* Playoff game. The Yankees were hitting everything he pitched, and when they didn’t swing it was way out of the strike zone. As if to offset the Yankees, the Sox seemed to swing *only* when it was out of the strike zone, and went hitless through the 6th.

They finally decided to turn it on in the 7th, but it was really too late at that point. The Yankees had a solid 8-0 lead, and they weren’t done yet. The Sox battled back, getting 7 runs in the 7th and 8th innings, making it 8-7. They were back in the game until they let the Yanks get 2 more runs in the bottom of the 8th, making it 10-7 and sealing off the victory.

What a disappointment! Oh well, they’re playing again tonight, and hopefully this time it won’t take them 6+ innings to warm up…
