Well, I’m already feeling a bit better about the holes in my mouth. I called the doctor’s office (didn’t talk to him, but one of his receptionists), and she told me that it generally takes 3-4 weeks for the holes to fill up and close. They fill from the bottom, so it should eventually start getting more shallow (shallower? more shallower?) as time goes by and that I shouldn’t worry about it. She also said that if I’m still worried next week then I should call and make an appointment, and they’ll take a look at it then. But for now, a bit of peace.
Let’s see. This morning I was down at NUWC for a meeting for most of the morning, and then I went down to NWDC to try exporting my PKI key from my CAC (Common Access Card - DoD thing), but it didn’t really work. So I must still wait in anticipation for my other one to come through. Oh well. It’s been expedited, so hopefully it will be here soon.
Had a bit of a scare when I got back to my car. I got it, turned the key - and it did absolutely nothing. Freaked me out for a few seconds - I turned the key from OFF to START several times anxiously to no avail - and then I decided to check under the hood. Turns out the negative wire had slid off the battery. Not connected = no juice. So I put it back on, turned the key, and the engine came to life. Woohoo! The biggest downfall of the whole fiasco was that I had to reset all my settings on my stereo.
