No matter how many times I hear Dashboard Confessional songs, I’m still blown away by the genius of the lyrics. The way he puts the words together to create feelings, life, pictures of reality. Most of it is depressing stuff, but somehow that’s the music I like to listen to. It creates that feeling in the pit of my stomach that I can’t really describe, but that I’m sure everyone has felt at one point or another.

The Red Sox started out baseball season with a 5th consecutive season opener loss, this time against the Yankees. It was pathetic to watch. By the end of the game we all just wanted it to end. 9-2. None of the new guys really impressed me, and even the regulars weren’t playing their A-game. As someone in my office said this morning: 1 down, 161 to go.

Please just let these next two weeks pass! And then time can stop.
