Let’s see: Left work on Friday afternoon with plans for the evening and night. The ride home was fine, and I had about 1.5 hours until I had to be at the Chapel for superbowl. Took care of some business at home, took a shower, and Abby and I were off.
Superbowl went really well. Hockey game - Providence Bruins beat the Springfield Falcons 4-2, rally, bowling, and then open gym. We had one kid who was causing a bit of trouble, but I stood up to my leader position and had a little talk with him. No problems from him after that! Bowling was fun, if crowded. We had seven people on our lane, so in the 2 hours we had to bowl we only got in one game. Oh well, it was still fun. Open gym was fun too, and the gym we went to was 3 minutes from the Chapel. I remember when I went to Superbowl in high school we had an hour drive home or so to get back to the Chapel - and it’s never fun going for an hour ride when you’re already beat from the night. So this time we lucked out I guess. I feel bad for the people who had to drive all the way back to Bristol, CT afterwards!
Abby managed to hurt her leg playing soccer during open gym time, so after we got home on Saturday morning I ended up taking her to the doctor and getting her leg checked out. Hopefully it’s just a pulled muscle of some sort. After going to the docter we went out and got her some crutches, and finally made it home around 11 AM. Feeling brave, we started to watch “Office Space”, but Abby was soon asleep in her chair and I was getting there in mine. So around 11:30 I went down stairs and hit the sack. It was nice to sleep the rest of the day away. I got up around 6:30 PM, relaxed around the house for a few hours, and went back to bed. Sunday morning I felt refreshed and ready to go.
In keeping the weekend busy, after Church on Sunday we went out to eat and then hung out at Starbucks (Melissa was working) until around 3:30. After dropping a friend off at home, we headed over to the Morelli’s house and hung out there for the rest of the day. Watched some football, a movie, ate supper, and got home just in time for bed.
So after a long weekend of being busy, I’m back at work, and I’m sooo glad it’s a three day week for me. I need this four day weekend coming up! Not only that, but I’m going to a Patriots game on Sunday, which should be awesome! Needless to say, I’m excited, and I just need to make it through the rest of today and the next two days…
One thing at a time, I guess.
